FAQ

All shipments are processed and shipped promptly(usually within 24-48 business hours of payment received, with exception of weekends and holidays). Packages are sent via FREE USPS First Class or Priority Mail (for a small charge). You will recieve a complimentary email with the shipping date along with the delivery confirmation number. PLEASE NOTE...Delivery Confirmation is NOT a tracking number, this bar code will not be scanned until delivery has been made or attempted. Very rarely is it scanned during transit. We do our postage online to streamline our time. A delivery pickup through the USPS is scheduled daily, Monday through Saturday (except for holidays) and is picked up between 10am and 12pm Eastern time. The USPS cites 2 to 10 business days for delivery of first class.

We are not responsible for lost or damaged packages once the package is in the hands of the USPS.

International orders are shipped via Global Priority only. Also note, we are not responsible for your own country's import tax or customs charges. Please be aware of your own country's taxes and import laws as we are NOT RESPONSIBLE for extra charges by your government!

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

Due to the personal hygiene issues of makeup and skin care products, none of my products can be returned. If you are uncertain about a shade or possible allergic reaction to any product, please order a sample size. Minerals are very forgiving and very fixable! You can always purchase a color to lighten or darken it. I will be glad to help you should you run into this!

**Under certain circumstances, we may agree to an item being returned. DO NOT RETURN ANY ITEM WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION FROM SMOKY MOUNTAIN MINERALS. On agreed return of any item, there will be a 20% restocking fee. Return shipment will be paid for by the buyer. Item must be in original packaging, unopened, in original condition.

WHAT FOUNDATION SHADE SHOULD I PURCHASE?

it is kind of hard to say without actually seeing your skintone. If you are still uncertain about a shade, consider ordering one of our starter kits. They each come with 3 different foundation colors to try. However, one shade will suit a very wide variety of skin tones. Minerals are very forgiving! I do my best to describe the colors throughly, and please remember that computer monitors vary in color. That's the beauty of our foundations. You do not have to know if you have blue or red undertones, if you are winter or a summer! Smoky Mountain Minerals are formulated to be very neutral and cover a very wide variety of skintones! We make it easy, the way Mineral Makeup should be!

I'VE USED MINERAL MAKEUP BEFORE, BUT IT MADE MY FACE ITCH. WILL SMOKY MOUNTAIN MINERALS IRRITATE MY SKIN?

The ingredient that causes sensitivity in most mineral makeups is usually the bismuth oxychloride. We DO NOT use Bismuth Oxychloride in our minerals! Our minerals are all natural and due to the nature of minerals there is no worry about bacteria or your makeup "going bad" or "expiring"!

WHAT ARE THE INGREDIENTS IN YOUR MAKEUP? Our mineral makeup contains all or some of the following: Serecite mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxides, silica, zinc. These are all minerals that come from the earth and are processed to cosmetic grade powders. Our mineral veil contains a small amount of cosmetic grade zeamays (cosmetic grade corn starch) for slip. All mineral ingredients used are approved for use on eyes, face, lips and nails. Be wary of mineral makeup sellers that include other ingredients as they will not be pure mineral makeup like ours. Unless you are allergic to rocks, you will have no problem wearing our minerals. With exception to our Illusion (formerly Mineral Veil) which contains cosmetic grade corn starch. Do not use Illusion if you are allergic to corn.

ARE SMOKY MOUNTAIN MINERALS SAFE FOR MY SKIN TYPE?

Anyone can wear our mineral makeup! It is great for sensitive skin, problem skin, healing skin and particularly those with Acne and/or Rosacea. It is suitable for all skin types and is ideal for sensitive skin as the titanium dioxide, in addition to its anti-inflammatory, healing and sothing properties, is a natural sunscreen and gives better sun protection than zinc.

IS IT GOOD FOR PROBLEM SKIN LIKE ACNE, ROSACEA AND SENSITIVE SKIN?

Absolutely! The protective and healing properties of our natural minerals help conceal as well as heal problem skin. It is perfect for acne or rosacea prone skin, inflammatory skin conditions, and post-surgical or post-chemical peel skin as the natural minerals can reduce irritation and redness. Mineral Makeup has been touted as being to good for your skin, that you can even sleep in it!

DOES Smoky Mountain Minerals WORK FOR MATURE SKIN?

Absolutely! The natural luminoscity helps refract light away from lines and wrinkles softening the look of your skin. They offer light as a feather coverage. Never drying. They also hide large pores, small lines and wrinkles better. It also leaves a nice natural dewy finish. And are preferred by most women with mature skin.

ARE Smoky Mountain Minerals GOOD FOR DRY SKIN?

Yes! The natural properties of our minerals help retain moisture in your skin. Since our minerals are so versatile, they can be applied wet or dry, with a brush or sponge to provide pure, natural coverage ranging from sheer to opaque. You will love the radiant glow of your skin after using this makeup.

HOW LONG WILL THIS PRODUCT LAST? Months and months depending on use. With exception to sample sizes. Our minerals never expire. They are "inert", therefore, they cannot harbor bacteria, the way liquid makeup can.

IS THERE A SPECIAL TECHNIQUE TO APPLY MINERAL MAKEUP?
